How the evening plays

Everyone gets a part: the guests guess, the couple answer, and you run the show.

  1. Before the party: guests pick

    Guests scan a QR code at the tables or open the link you sent them, type their name and pick one of the couple for every question, at their own pace.

  2. On stage: shoes up

    The couple sit back to back, one shoe of each in hand. You read the question from the big screen, they raise a shoe, and you tap in their answers.

  3. The reveal: who knew best

    Each question ends with a chart of the guests’ picks, with their names. The last screen crowns the guest who knew the couple best.

Set it up in a few minutes

You build the game on a laptop. Duo keeps it to what the shoe game needs.

  1. Name the couple

    Add their names and an emoji for each: 👰 and 🤵 to start with, or anything you like.

  2. Add your questions

    Write your own, or let Duo suggest some: general, romantic, spicy or competitive. Drag them into order.

  3. Share the link

    Print the QR code for the tables or send the link with the invitation. Guests answer before you start the reveal.

What does it cost?

Nothing. Duo is free; you need a free quizshow.io account to create a game. Guests never sign up.

Do guests need to install an app?

No. Guests join with a QR code or a link and answer in their phone’s browser.

When do guests answer?

Before you start the reveal: over dinner, or days earlier with the invitation. The big screen collects the answers when you open the game, so answers that arrive later need a reload.

What if the venue wifi is bad?

Guests need a connection to answer; mobile data is fine. Once the game is open on the big screen, it runs without one.

What about guests without a smartphone?

They can answer on someone else’s phone: after sending, the phone offers “Answer again” for the next guest.

What do I need on the night?

A laptop with a browser, connected to the venue’s TV or projector. You can run the game from the big screen or from a separate controls window.

Can I do a test run?

Yes. Answer as a test guest and step through the reveal, then Reset clears the answers before the real thing.

Only for weddings?

It fits any couple: anniversaries, engagement parties, a hen or stag do, or two colleagues leaving together.
